• Diploma's Degree or above in Hotel Management or related disciplines
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in kitchen operations, and with 5 years of work experience in managerial role
• Good in spoken and written Cantonese, Mandarin & English
• Good computer and system skills
• Able to work on shift
• Exceptional cooking knowledge in Chinese cuisine
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Diligent attention to safety and detail
- Responsibilities
-
• Monitor all phases of restaurant and supervise daily food preparation
• Monitor performance of the cooks and assign duties to them
• Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
• Achieve food quality that exceeds expectations
• Ensure adherence to food hygiene, safety and fire procedures
• Achieve budgeted food sales, labor costs and profitability targets
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations
• Attend weekly kitchen meetings and briefings
• Assist in menu planning and pricing
• Assuring adequate and consistent standards
• Maintain positive teamwork relations with co-workers and management
• Coordinate with all planners regarding their specific group requirements for services & facilities offered. This includes menu proposals and details, estimated and actual function statements
• Participate in F&B marketing activities, prepare for sales promotions & mailings
• Perform other tasks assigned by superiors
